Talking partnership and gamification in Gaborone
Evalex was well represented at the recent HR Business Partner Conference in Gaborone, Botswana. The conference drew delegates and speakers from across the sub-continent to share ideas and explore partnerships opportunities in the HR space in the region.
Evalex founder and CEO, Pieter Bronkhorst, spoke on two topics: “How technology, such as artificial intelligence, impacts assessment of human talent” and “The role of HR in building high performance companies.”
“Attendance at the conference was of a very high level, which tells us that there is great interest in talent management across the board in the region,” says Pieter.
On day two, Kevin Distiller, managing director of Odyssey Talent Management, part of the Evalex group of companies, spoke about the process of gamification and how it impacts many areas of our lives in the era of tech. Here’s a snippet of his talk:
“Presenting at conferences is one of the many ways in which the Evalex team shares the knowledge built up over 36 years of talent management and research in the field,” explains Pieter. “The next big event we’ll be speaking at is the annual SIOPSA Conference, which will be held in Pretoria in July.”
