2024 ACSG Conference: 12 – 15 March

The South African Assessment Centre Study Group (ACSG) will be holding its 2024 conference from 12 to 15 March. The conference theme is “Fostering a Sustainable Future through Innovative Assessment Centres and Leadership in the Age of Technology”.

This year’s conference focuses on how assessments, technology and change come together in today’s rapidly evolving work environment. It will unpack the many ways in this assessments can be used to find and nurture talent, how technology improves the employee journey and drives digital change, and the vital role of assessment experts in ensuring sustainable talent growth.

Evalex’s Pieter Bronkhorst and Jaco De Jager will be doing a presentation on day 4 of the conference.

Here’s what you have to look forward to:

Conference Day 1 is a virtual conference day which means that presentations from our speakers will be streamed live via our online platform. You can look forward to listening to presentations from: Brahma Aditya (Daya Dimensi, Indonesia); Gwendoline Long (SHL, South Africa); Gerdi Mulder (fitt, South Africa); Nathan Kuncel (University of Minnesota, USA) and Marvin Neumann (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, The Netherlands) and a keynote address from Rodney Lowman (Consulting Psychologist, San Diego, USA).

A series of practical exercises and activities are structured with the intent of enhancing the knowledge and education of emerging practitioners in the field of assessments and assessment centres. The day aims to offer hands-on case study experiences, aiming to better inform and educate the participants.

Conference Day 3 is an in-person conference day where you can meet our speakers who will present their work at the Protea Marriott Hotel Wanderers, Johannesburg, South Africa. You can look forward to a keynote address by Hubert Annen (Zürich, Switzerland). You can also listen to presentations from: Sebastian Clifton (TTS-Talent, South Africa); Petrus Nel (NMMU, South Africa) and Sandra Schlebusch (LEMASA, South Africa; a presentation by CHC Consulting, South Africa; and Svetlana Simonenko (Detech Group, Russian Federation).

Conference Day 4 is a half-day, in-person conference. You can meet and listen to our speakers presenting their work at the Protea Marriott Hotel Wanderers, Johannesburg, South Africa. Presenters include: Salome Jansen Van Vuuren and Melandie Olivier (SHL, South Africa); Pieter Bronkhorst and Jaco De Jager (Evalex, South Africa) and an Ethics Presentation – Danie Oosthuizen (TTS-Talent, South Africa)
