The assessment centre is recognised today across business, education, and government as the most effective and comprehensive way to gather the data needed to make highly accurate selection and development decisions. Now, in 2019, for the first time China, which originated the assessment centre, is hosting the preeminent conference on assessment centres.

The congress will bring together world-renowned assessment centre experts, as well as representatives of top companies and organisations that are using—and benefiting from—assessment centres and the rich data provided to hire, develop, and retain the next generation of leaders needed to drive transformation in an increasingly digital business environment.

According to the 2018 Global Leadership Forecast, c-level executives identify developing the next generation of leaders as their number one challenge—and assessment centres can help! Assessment centres drive better decisions around spotting leadership potential, filling open leadership positions, building greater leadership capability, and providing customised development to individuals leaders.

Dr Pieter Bronkhorst’s presentation is entitled “Shoot Out!! What Predicts Leadership Potential Best? Assessment Centres, Cognitive Tests, or Personality Tests? The Latest Research on the Topic from an African Continent Perspective”.

We look forward to Pieter representing South Africa and Africa in this prestigious annual conference, where he will provide insights into the value that assessment centres provide to the leadership recruitment, development and talent process.
